Best meal I had in Savannah! Definitely lives up to the NY Times recognition. The fried chicken was so crispy without being oily. More veg options would be nice but the slaw, fried rice, crab dip and desserts were phenomenal. Great wine list too. A must when in Savannah!
Very happy to have found this place during our visit to Savannah. The service was top notch and the vibe was pretty cool. They have a great menu and we were told they are famous for the chicken, so we went with the dirty rice and chicken sandwich — they did not disappoint! For dessert I recommend the upside down pineapple pie — a very creative and tasty dessert. Next time we'll have to try the chicken dinner plate.
Everything we had was very good. The squash was cooked perfectly. They burger has nice crispy edges and was delicious. Small menu. Which tells me they know what they are good at and I can't disagree.
Home run! Everything we ate was cooked perfectly. The chicken dinner was so good. The charred breast was perfectly moist inside. The fried thighs were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Cocktails were described perfectly and there was something for everyone. Our server Jaci was so attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We sat at a high top and the chairs were not the nicest for those in larger bodies. That said, they make it super clear whether you are reserving a low or high top, and I chose a high top knowing it may or may not be comfy for me. I would wholeheartedly recommend Brochu’s to anyone in the Savannah area.
As amazing as the chicken was (and it WAS amazing), the two standout dishes were the chicken livers on toast and the dirty rice. Both of those were absolutely incredible; I would happily eat them daily. So happy to have been able to visit on our vacation. Thank you BFT for a perfect meal!!
After seeing this in the Bon Appetite magazine of restaurants of the year, we had to try it! Rarely do restaurants do more than one thing expertly, but Brochu has figured out chicken and seafood! We got a little bit of both and enjoyed every bit of it. The vibe is super laidback with the option of walk up patio service. This is a new must in Savannah! Enjoy!
We got:
Tomato salad-I didn’t try it but my friends said it was really good!
Potatoes-they were ok but the sauce was so good. We didn’t finish them
Crab dip-it was ok, there was a topping on it none of us liked. We didn’t finish it
The whole chicken-SOOO good. We ate the fried chicken with the white gravy and biscuits shared between 4 of us. There were 4 biscuits and 4 pieces of fried chicken. The chicken salad was phenomenal too but we were too stuffed to finish it off. The grilled chicken was good but we weren’t really interested in it
Banana pudding and cherry pie-I only had the BP and it was SO good. It has less pudding and more bananas if that’s your thing. My friend said the pie was good too!
Food that's prepared in very unique ways. Not your ordinary restaurant, a place for those that really enjoy stretching their tastebuds and trying things that are done differently. Glad we found it, already made a reservation to go back.
